First thing to note is it arrives NOT ASSEMBLED. Each piece of petal for the shade is a separate piece of paper that must be attached individually. There are over 60 pieces to the shade alone. The lamp base is white aluminum and not a muted white but a bright shiny white that also needs assembling. It looks like spray painted aluminum. After one hour of unpacking pieces and trying to decipher instructions, we gave up. I wanted to love this lamp but just can't. For the price I expected more. Way more.
