I had three garage freezers before, and they died because they were not designed for the garage. This one understands the assignment. It can get hot in my garage and it works anyway. My other models died after 1-2 years. I pack this with discounted bulk buy meat from a central CA market I found. I wrap them in smaller meal sizes and store it for gradual use. The freezer door design can isolate the cold air inside the freezer from the outside air, making the temperature inside the freezer more stable. The movable basket design allows you to access the food in the basket as soon as you open the freezer door. You can put your favorite food inside, so you can easily find it. The drain design makes it easier for you to clean the freezer. You just need to cut off the power to the freezer, wait for the ice to melt, open the drain, and wipe the inside of the freezer clean. The left and right door handles are designed to facilitate opening the freezer door from either side. Getting food is more convenient.

I love that there are shelf options for storage as well. The light inside helps with finding what you need. I am also a huge fan of the lock option on this as well have small children in the household. We bought this convertible freezer so we can use both ways. It’s been one week only for us to use the freezer. We were using it as fridge because our main broke. It is working well until now, this week we are trying to use as freezer and it is keeping food frozen. Crossing my fingers for future use. When bought the freezer salesman said Frigidaire says garage ready but don’t use it in garage because if you keep this freezer in garage and use in winter when temperatures goes in -ve it can break down. So all keep in mind this garage ready fridge/ fridge is good Florida kind of weather which can use it all year long in garage. Turn off in winter when it’s in -ve otherwise it is fine to keep in garage use in appropriate weather conditions. I gave 4 stars because product is new only in use for week and working fine.
