***Old and new version in images*** Product image does not match the actual product. They’re extremely similar, but the rope is completely different and coloring of the carpet. I’ve had the product in the image for years and it’s held up for a long time with one cat. Since getting another cat, the rope unraveled at the top, but bottom is still well intact. Old version is great quality and that’s why I wanted to get a new one - was shocked to see it on Wayfair and couldn’t find it anywhere else. I’m sure the rope is why they’ve changed the product. The new version not pictured appears to be great quality and is the same dimensions as the original version. A bit lopsided when the cats sit on it but not significant. Worth your money!. Anonymous. Core Product Principle: The Cat Scratch-Resistant Sofa Cover is a physical protective product specifically designed for households with pets, addressing the common issue of cats scratching furniture. Cats scratch to mark their territory and sharpen their claws, typically favoring textured or easily scratched materials. The surface of the transparent scratch-resistant cover is usually extremely smooth, causing the cat's claws to slip upon contact. This gradually diminishes the cat's interest in that area. Important Notes: Not all cats will stop scratching due to the tape. Some may attempt to tear it off. For best results, use alongside alternatives like scratching posts or cat trees to redirect cats to appropriate scratching locations.

Cats have a natural urge to scratch: the action helps them remove old material from their claws, and they mark territory with scent glands in their paws. Redirect kitty's natural scratching instinct away from your furniture! Ware’s quality scratching post features a paw pleasing rope scratching material to help maintain kitty’s claws and promote healthy scratching behaviors. Gives them a form of exercise and keeps them from being bored.

Nice scratcher. Cheri. Independence, MO. Fri Mar 06 2026

The scratching post is sturdy and the carpet decent quality. I was disappointed that the sisal wasn't rope but rather a sisal-type fabric. It doesn't look the same as the picture online. Now I'm wondering if I received the correct item.... Ellen. East Taunton, MA. Tue May 31 2022
