The rug is as beautiful as I had hoped. Really brightens the room. I ordered the 10x14 rug and it’s VERY heavy! Rug pad is definitely needed. I turned the rug pad over so that the “gripper” side is on top. The rug is rather loosely woven and this made it feel much sturdier under foot. Since I put some heavy furniture on it I didn’t worry about the rug moving out of place. With such a large rug that wanted to shift due to loose weave, we found it very helpful to mark the floor with easily removeable painters tapeso that we could square it in just the right place. It was certainly a two person job to get it even and in the exact location on the hardwood floor. Very happy with my purchase. Rug had a slight defect on the back that I worried might cause problems after use.
