I bought this to protect my kitchen island table, also bought from Wayfair. I use my kitchen island for dining, preparing food and baked items, crafting, working on projects and entertaining. Before I started using this table protector, the tabletop was getting scratched and scraped and I kept needing to use my furniture repair kit. I tried using a few coats of polyurethane, but my kitchen island just gets used too frequently on a daily basis and the top still scrape marks.
I've been using the table protector for 2 weeks now and it's doing a great job! I have prepared a pizza, chopped veggies on a wood board, laid all sorts of tools and heavy items on the table, but my kitchen island's tabletop is safe! I also like that it's mostly clear, so you can still see my pretty table surface underneath. And best of all, it was the perfect size for my kitchen island!
The only negative I could say is that it does tend to be a bit slippery and doesn't grip the table. My cat jumped up and the entire protector and the cat went flying! Hopefully, she'll remember not to jump on the table!. Lisa. Edgewood, NM. Fri Nov 20 2020
