I think this is a gorgeous, lush area rug with a subtle abstract, almost organic design. It was darker than what was depicted in the photo, but it works beautifully in my space. Being hand-knotted it is not a perfectly squared rectangle slightly out of square, but that is indicative of hand knotting vs. a machine-made woven wool rug. This was a great price as well! I was a little worried that this rug would be neon orange, too bright, but it is a lighter color so more subtle than a strong vibrant orange--sherbet is an accurate description. It is a lovely wool rug and I'm very happy with it, although I'm not sure how it will wear since I've never had a shag rug. It is definitely not a rug you can wear shoes walking on if you want to keep the pile from flattening out. But it is an unusual statement piece and for the sale price and quality I'm very pleased..
