This product effectively and compactly stores boots. By cascading boots over one another, boots stay upright and avoid the damaging effects of creases caused by improper storage. The vertical rod saves precious closet space and the entire system works perfectly for long, short, and even ankle boots!

Good but not great? There are 12 hooks on but only 6 hangers (not that you really could hang 12 pairs of tall boots because they really need the horizontal space), so even if you wanted to hang shorter shoes, you can't. I think this would have been better if there were hooks on all 4 'sides' of the center horizontal section, because even staggered, 6 pairs of knee high boots being layered on top of each other take up a lot of room. Better than being on the floor of my closet I guess but I thought it would be a bit more streamlined. The over the door hook is too small for any of the doors in my apt so it's kind of a useless add-on.. Hillary. Sunnyside, NY. Wed Jul 29 2020

The footprint of this is relatively tiny, but it is mighty. It holds 10 pairs of ski boots, freestanding, without falling over. I didn't know if this would be wide enough to actually be able to fit two pairs of downhill ski boots on the same row, but the answer is YES it can! GREAT solution for storing a ton of gear.
