Slightly better quality that I expected, but I hadn’t thought about the balance of it. We use it for our boots around the property and once it’s out of balance (one pair) it topples over. Excellent purchase. It looks great, sturdy and I enjoy the process of selecting my shoes when I have to go out. My taller boots I laid sideways. Sandals I stacked on top of each other to make more room. The only challenge was connecting the two sets of shelves.
