The cart is pretty stable and nice, but not %100 bamboo. Putting together was about an hour and a half, the instructions are straightforward. Very satisfied with this rolling bamboo kitchen island. I am extremely particular about my purchases and chose this one based on the real wood construction and the exact dimensions I needed to fit flush in height and width at the end of my kitchen island in my new condo and it was one of the only islands I could find in the correct size that had all the drawers I was wanting. It is constructed of solid bamboo for majority with MDF shelves and extra parts. The stainless steel top is in perfect condition and the whole unit was packed extremely well. It took 3-4 hours for my handy husband to assemble the many pieces by himself. Instructions were very clear and all parts and hardware were present with quite a few extra pieces leftover. The hinges on the doors take some fiddling with to get doors aligned correctly. We used an allen wrench with a handle grip that came with another product and a ratchet screwdriver to make assembly easier. The drawers open and close smoothly. We left the spice rack/knife block off because of space constraints. There are small predrilled holes where that unit attached but I'll cover those with some small plastic plugs and will be hardly noticeable. The wheels roll smoothly. This is a well designed island and is constructed in a durable way. We just assembled a couple days ago so only time will tell how it holds up but I feel positive that it will be an excellent piece for storage and extra counter space and should last a good long while..
