My husband wanted an extra bright light that would allow him to see through his helmet while welding, and this product fits the bill. It is bright enough to guide ships into a harbor! It could easily illuminate a huge warehouse. While it’s almost more industrial than residential, it’s perfect for our needs - but when I say it’s bright, I mean BLINDINGLY bright, such that you won’t want to look directly into it! The light is meant to be hardwired, but my husband added a plug so he can move it to different areas as needed. He also added the hang hook seen in photos these did not come with the light.
