I like the set. Looks good on my countertop but most importantly very functional. As I've read in another review, I have a few knife scars, but it doesn't interfere with the functionality. If I were recording myself whipping up meals to share online, I'd probably avoid using these; since I'm not that talented, I have zero issues with the marks - adds character. The finish is not peeling and I don't feel that food safety is an issue as the cuts aren't deep and no visible fragments are getting into my food (should that happen I'd discard immediately).
