This turned out to be a better purchase than I had epected. I am 'elderly' and wanted something like this for the end of the peninsula in my kitchen area. It is wonderwful! I have shrunk so it is not easy for me to use the microwave on top of my stove -- the second (middle) shelf on this unit is perfect! I purchased 2 of these kitchen islands for use in my home based t-shirt printing business. The island itself was easy to put together. It is sturdy and esthetically pleasing. The surface area dimensions is perfect for use as a food prep surface in a kitchen. I needed 2 back to back for business reasons. The only negative is that one arrived damaged on a le and on the top in such a way that the top cannot be fully fasten to the leg. I was able to work around it. I am so happy with this kitchen island! It is well constructed, not too difficult to assemble, and created so much more space in my small kitchen. The drawer is a glider and opens and closes easily and quietly. The two hooks on the one side is very useful for hot mitts or towels. The caster wheels make it so easy to move around.
