Perfect for repairing or reinforcing both metal and wood doors, this plate fits 1-3/4-inch thick doors with mortise or drive-in latches. Crafted from durable solid brass or stainless steel with an elegant antique brass finish, it features two 2-1/8-inch bores spaced 3-5/8 inches apart and offers backset options of 2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches. They saved me from having to replace an entire 20 year-old door. Highly recommend these, but really measure the distance between the locking mechanism to make sure this is for you because it’s harder to change the plate after the fact.. Anonymous. Sat Sep 05 2026
