nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension. Happy with the results but did not save time or expense compared to old fashioned box beam and molding construction.. Paul. MA. Thu May 26 2022

Orac’s C355 Cornice Moulding combines contemporary design with smart engineering. This flat crown molding extends across the ceiling, providing an intriguing floating effect between itself and your walls, thanks to its recessed shadow line at the back. It is made of PUROTOUCH, a high1quality, high1density polyurethane resin that is lightweight and durable. In addition, it is primed white and ready for paint, glaze or finish so it can perfectly match your interior. Installation is fast and easy. Our moulding can be installed using typical woodworking tools, and the integrated glue grooves guarantee a swift glue application. For best results, use Orac Decor’s Decofix adhesive.
