Very happy with this ceiling medallion. The light fixture I had originally ordered for the room felt too small and this gave it the dimension in the room that was missing. Pretty simple to install. We just used small finishing nails to secure it as flat as we could to the ceiling. Then caulked around the edge. We did not end up painting it because our ceiling was already white.. Nicole. This Slip Uno Adapter Converts your Standard Lampshade to fit on the Slip Uno Lamp Base. Did you ever have trouble finding a UNO fitter shade? This is common because most replacement shades have standard spider fitters aka washer fitters. Will this fit your lamp? Our Uno opening is 1 7/16" which is the most common size, so be sure to measure your bulb socket to make sure the diameter is less than 1 7/16". Slip Uno adapters are made to fit directly over a plastic lamp socket found on lamps usually purchased at many popular retail stores. Uno fitter shades are difficult to find, so this adapter lets you use standard washer fitter shades on your uno lamp base. This adapter attaches directly to the harp, allowing the use of nearly any replacement lampshade. Harp is 14" tall and the height from the bottom Uno ring to the top plate is 14", so this fitter works best with shades that are about 17" tall. Polished brass finish.

I bought this for my new home office so that I'd have appropriate lighting for virtual calls, and it works just perfectly! Not sure if it was intended for this, but there are also little slots on the back of the light that allowed me to easily mount it on my wall where I plan to sit for calls. Really worked out well!
