We love this extendable dining table because it means you can have a more intimate table setting for dinner with your family, and then expand it in seconds for a dinner party. Plus, it has French country style in spades! This table is made from solid and engineered wood and features four turned legs and a planked tabletop for traditional appeal. Its base is finished in an antiqued white hue, while its light oak brown surface provides a neutral contrast. Without the removable leaf, this table seats six – with it, it seats eight. Gorgeous table, large, sturdy, pretty easy to extend, but I'm disappointed with the quality of the top. FYI 'engineered wood' top means a wood-look laminate type finish over top of particle board. It's attractive but the lines in the picture are actually grooves which every single crumb gets stuck in, but even worse, if any water gets in there it soaks in and bubbles the surface.
