Convivio is the fruit of the dialogue between Pritzker Prize winner David Chipperfield and Michelin-starred chef Pietro Leemann, whose different skills have come together in the conception of this collection. Pots, pans, frying pans, and cooking utensils were developed to create a versatile, high-performance set to accompany food from preparation to serving on the table. Investigating the possibilities of vegetarian cuisine, the various items were analyzed, calibrating the best technical, dimensional, and typological choices, making Convivio both universal and particularly suitable for cooking vegetables and pulses. The name Convivio pays tribute to cooking as an activity that is both aesthetic and convivial, capable of forming a community by gathering people around the preparation and enjoyment of food. The designer's approach to design is evident in the focus on the material, its simplicity, and purity enhanced in a refined juxtaposition of textures and surfaces. Cookware set composed of pot, casserole with two handles, low casserole with two handles, saucepan in multiply, 3 lids in 18/10 stainless steel, mat. Handles in 18/10 stainless steel with PVD coating.

The pot, designed by David Chipperfield in consultation with Pietro Leemann, perfectly synthesizes the Pritzker prize-winning designer's philosophy and the Michelin-starred chef's culinary culture in its design: attention to detail and almost monastic simplicity. Pot in multiply (AISI 430, aluminum, 18/10 stainless steel), mat. Handles in 18/10 stainless steel with PVD coating. Magnetic steel bottom is also suitable for induction cooking.

Stock is where flavour starts, and a thin pot ruins it. The Alva Maestro 8-Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot holds a steady, even simmer for hours, so a batch of stock reduces cleanly instead of catching on the base. Eight quarts takes a full box of pasta, a Sunday batch of soup, or a whole chicken for poaching, and the interior carries laser-etched measurement marks so you can reduce to a number instead of a guess. The vented lid lets steam escape before it boils over the rim, and the triple-layer base resists warping on high heat. The interior is uncoated stainless steel with no nonstick layer at all, so there is nothing to scratch, peel or replace, and metal utensils are welcome. Oven safe to 500°F and compatible with every cooktop including induction. Dishwasher safe. Made without intentionally added PFAS, PTFE or PFOA. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, built in the Belgian tradition since 1949.

I ordered this pot to replace one I had for ages. I liked the nice clean look of this. It arrived within days and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the material, the balance of weight when handled. the slotted steam opening, and the incremental measurements inside the pot. The heat dispersed evenly around the bottom when cooking and I different feel there were hot spots. All in all I think this is a well made very easily handled piece of cookware. The top lid handle gets a tad hot which if I am being picky is my only drawback. Would have definitely given it a 5 star but for this feature.. Lorraine. Shrewsbury, NJ. Thu Apr 27 2023

Well made. Just be super careful when managing the handles. They’re a little narrow and get very hot. Probably just me always being in a hurry though. Teacher Beach. Sat Mar 15 2025
