This is our third Alwyn mattress, it is a name we have come to trust when looking for a mattress. It has the right amount of comfort and firmness we want. As soon as it was unwrapped it began to decompress. From experience, I always unzip the cover and release all the corners so it isn't restricted in height - both the top and the bottom corners. After 4 hours it was already 9" high, it has now been 24 hours and it is 9" in some areas and 9.5" in other areas. It's for a spare room so we can wait another day to see if it rises more, and even if it doesn't it's only 1/2 an inch less than the 10" mattress height we purchased. Nice mattress. Very heavy box and i needed help to get it up the stairs. It was wrapped super tight and compact which made it easy to put on bed.
