This is a well made fixture. It's a bit ungainly to install because the arms are so long. I removed the cord and plug because I hardwired it into a wall box. The photos they show beside a bed are deceiving- as many comments indicate, this is a BIG fixture. The provided dimensions are hard to decipher. I measure one arm to be 16" long and the other is 24". The shades are approx. 12" diameter and extend basically that whole 12" past the ends of the arms. So overall length out from the wall would be about the published 34", for the longer arm. The fixture would be about 11" wide, if the two arms were directly above and below each other. The 24" overall height is pretty accurate- this thing takes up a big volume of space with the arms splayed out, as typically would be the case. The shades rotate and I turned one up so I have an up-lite and a down-lite. I taped a piece of notebook paper to the wall in my photos, for scale.. Gregg. MI. Fri Feb 06 2026
