This console table was exactly what I was looking for in my office. I was replacing a piece that had been in the same spot for 25 years, so finding something that actually fit the space (and had a timeless design) was my top priority. This one checks all the boxes. It’s classic enough to last for years, while still allowing flexibility to update the styling with accessories over time. I also love the two-tier design. It works well styled minimally, but gives the option to add more on the bottom shelf if you want a fuller look. Assembly was quick and easy, about 10 minutes to unbox and another 10 minutes to put together. My only small complaint is that the bumper pads under the glass are visible and come in a light/translucent color. Black would have blended better. I’ll likely swap them out, but it’s a minor detail. For the price it is worth it. The assembly was a little difficult with getting the screws to go for the second and third shelf, while trying to hold the pieces in place to line up the holes. The holes are very tight fitting, so a couple of screws almost didn't go in. I was on the floor using my all my limbs to do get this thing together. I had a ratchet allen wrench to do this assembly, if not, it wouldn't have worked out. I can understand why some people gave up. Forget trying to use the allen wrench that comes with it. It's very sturdy once together. There were two tiny chips off of the paint on one piece, but I can fix that. Overall, it works perfectly for displaying my pottery, so I like it.. Lucia.
