There is some light filtration but not blackout. I ordered the CalKing and it fits my king with not that much hanging on the sides. It does give more coverage than the king size though. The colors are bright and no bleeding. It is a light comforter and is good for summer. Could easily be used in any bedroom in the house. The shams are regular size even though it is a Calking.. Tora. I haven’t opened them yet, because I am putting up a new mask king bed. Got this set for a young college girl in her first place off campus. The curtains are a bit sheer but still keep a fair amount of light out and give privacy.
