The kitty in the photo must be a tiny cat indeed. This was much smaller than I anticipated, and the base was made of plastic grass which looks very cheap. I was able to repurpose parts of the scratcher that I was replacing, so I had a sturdier carpeted base and the older post that I inverted so that he can still have a taller area to scratch.
