• No mass manufacturing here: these shelves are handcrafted by two humans in the USA from a small business in Northeastern Ohio (Steel Oak LLC).
• Our wood is responsibly sourced from forest management companies. Although once a vibrant tree, feel good knowing you're revitalizing it by giving it purpose as a beautiful piece of art you can appreciate! These are kiln dried (forced heat to remove insects and drop moisture content to a workable level). However, there will be remaining natural bug holes and wormy markings. This emphasizes character and natural uniquness of the wood, but the insects are gone.
