Pillows not the size advertised, instead of 12x18, I got 8x14..too small.

The pillow is a lovely deep brown, and it does look like silk. My biggest concern is that there are two large white labels sewn into these pillows that stick out; I cannot seem to pull them apart, and to cut them out will leave a large white, noticeable gash. A tad tacky. Is there no way this can be resolved?
