So the pieces are not as tightly joined as they should be. Each drawer has its own lock and a completely separate key. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. The lock is weak but this is for my home so I don't need the lock. It perfectly matches my desk. Otherwise it's very good fit for my home office.. Judy. Boston. Sat May 09 2026

Arrived in perfect condition, which I was a little worked about based on prior reviews. The price was a little high, but it serves me very well. I like that the top two drawers are not super deep so office supplies can stay at one level. Installation of wheels was very quick--the two locking casters go up front and the regular swiveling casters go in the back. Each wheel slides into a track, and a provided screwdriver fits into a slot on the adjacent metal tab that then gets bent upward to secure the wheel in its place. The final guide caster fits into the center of the bottom drawer and is held in place with a little black nut that pops in from the inside of the drawer. Hope that helps anyone who had trouble with the diagram! The filing section can fit letter-sized hanging file folders oriented either parallel or perpendicular to the drawer with the provided adjustable rod. A great little piece for the office!. Ch. This product is not exactly as sturdy as it looks. It is a 2 person job to put together but unfortunately we had to recruit a third, my daughter who was the most limber and had small hands to be able to finish putting it together.
