After reading the comments, we decided to hire the (Wayfair) professional assembly service, which turned out to be totally worth it and the right decision. The wood used is incredibly very solid; this is a simple styl, yet very robust and durable sofa bed. We have bought too much assembly-required furniture online, mostly from overseas brands, that upon close inspection had poorly finished paint or felt light and fragile, as if it could easily break under pressure. It’s such an amazing couch and it made me so happy! The assembly took me almost the whole afternoon but I’m slow. I judge it’s really more of a two people job really. Some of the screws socket were a bit difficult to put together because of the misalignment between pieces if you tighten one part of the screw too tight and misplace the other, but with a little bit of force everything does come together fairly easily..
