The bronze tiny fairy sits, almost integrating herself, into a tree stump in the dusk of evening. With her hand under her chin, she pensively stares at a butterfly fluttering by. A small form of spirit, the winged being, protects and honors the magical essence in all the plants, flowers, and trees of her natural world. She was molded using the aged-old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. The sculpture is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Milo's signature. The artist Milo lived most of his childhood in Andalusia, Spain. Influenced by their artistic family background, he began sculpting at the age of seventeen. After apprenticing with several accomplished sculptors both in America and Spain, he began his own work focusing equally on steel and bronze.
