I assumed it would kind of fade to the same shade since the first box was in the sun for an extra day but a few weeks later, its the same. Its perfectly sturdy and comfortable. I purchased this set for my newly built deck, and overall I am very happy with it. The wicker has more of a plastic appearance than some of the higher-end patio furniture, and the cushions aren't the most luxurious or plush. However, for around $300, I feel it offers excellent value for the price. My son assembled it for me, and he's very talented when it comes to building and construction. He did mention that the quality wasn't the best and that assembly took a little extra work compared to higher-end furniture. That said, once it was put together, it looked great and has held up well. What I love most is how well it fits a smaller patio. The pull-out ottomans are a wonderful feature, and the set creates a cozy space to relax with a cup of coffee, read a book, or simply enjoy the outdoors. The gray cushions and wicker complement my deck beautifully. If you're expecting premium outdoor furniture, you may be disappointed. But if you're looking for an attractive, functional, and affordable patio set that doesn't break the bank, I think it's a great purchase. Two points of clarification are in order: 1) cushions are described as "water-resistant" but were pretty well-saturated by a moderate rain - additional water-repellant treatment recommended; 2) set came with a cover which wasn't clear in web description so I ordered a set of covers that were not needed - they were returned..
