The Simone Counter Stool by Sika Design is a vintage-inspired natural rattan stool that captures the cheerful atmosphere of 1930s Parisian cafés. Designed for use indoors, the backless stools measure 27 inches in height with a generous seat and reinforced footrest for stability and comfort. Each stool is handmade by Indonesian wicker artisans with skills passed down over many generations. Crafted from the finest Malaccan rattan, with classically woven seats of ArtFibre™, a durable dyed polyethylene material, these stackable stools bring laidback elegance to a commercial or residential space.

ArtFibre™ is a Swiss-made artificial fiber made of dyed and hardwearing polyethylene that is both temperature and UV-resistant. ArtFibre™ is flexible and when woven, provides optimal comfort and a structure that is strong and can maintain its shape for years.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted with skin on rattan using the century-old method perfected by the Danish skilled cane makers in the 1970s. This technique leaves signature organic marks created by hand bending each piece of rattan into shape.
