While the concept of the cage in wonderful, the execution is poor. This is one of the most frustrating items I have ever assembled. The placement of the screws to stack the cages and place them on the stand are illogically positioned making it practically impossible to tighten. Also, one of the cages I received came with rust marks. I have noticed one of my other cages is rusting from water that splashes out when my canary takes a both. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it. Excellent cage for sugar gliders because it’s safe (after securing the sliding doors) and spacious…but will likely need to be replaced every 12-18 months due to extensive rusting. Took a star off for that. Most cages will eventually rust with sugar gliders in them, but this one rusts quickly. Doors are large enough to fit the Free Runner and Raptor wheels in, but a bit too small to comfortably clean the cage interior. Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. The color is a dark gray. The front door lock could be sturdier. We like accessing the bowls as they swing from the inside to the outside of the cage.
