You would expect a Chinese knock off of a carved Indian sofa to "off gas". Nope. Not a single smell. This is the most expensive couch that I ever owned, and worth ever penny. It will last for decades. Hope the kids like it because I suspect we'll still have it in 30 years. The only downside is the stink eye from the boss (wife) because it is a tad firm. We love the look of this set. Unfortunately, the loveseat inside frame had a tear. Wayfair did refund me 10 so I can get it repaired. Make sure you open the boxes before the delivery folks leave.
