My 12-year-old daughter loves the bed. I paid someone to assemble it, and it took approximately two hours. The bed is very sturdy once it’s anchored to the wall. My daughter is only 5’6”, and she bumps her head quite often underneath the bed. The ladder is also a bit uncomfortable to climb, even though it comes with padded steps. OMG. This took so long to put together…literally 8 hours and two people. There are over 40 steps and each step has steps. Parts are mislabeled and it’s super easy to secure a part upside or backwards. I just put together a loft bed in February and that took me about 4 hours. I went into building this assuming it would take just about as long but no. With that said, the quality of this loft bed is 5 stars. The one I built in February didn’t feel super sturdy but this one is a different story. If you go into the process knowing you’re going to spend all day building it, I think you’ll be happy.. B. CA. You definitely need two People to put up this bed and pay attention to where the pieces go as one mistake can cause you to take down a good portion of the bed and start over. It took me about 3 hours to put together by myself. I seen comments saying the instructions were confusing but I didnt think they were bad to be honest. This would be a 5 star review if the "13" guard rail" was truly 13" its more like 12. Other than that everything felt study and went together well.
