The bed isnt bad in and of itself but the assembly person they hired was delayed by two days so we decided to put it together ourselves. The directions were terrible, nothing was prefab- even the drawers themselves had to be assembled. Took two grown men 8 hours to put together due to the instructions being so poor. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear. Overall, I’m pleased with the outcome of the bed. Assembling the bed is a timely process. The instructions says two persons are required for assembly. Not true. I completed the job by myself, which is likely the reason it took 7-8 hrs to assemble. Attention to details is necessary for assembly there are very few words in the pamphlet so the pictures are your path. The delivery however did require two ppl to lift. This is a really nice bed. All solid wood. Very well packaged. No damage from shipping. I’m a 67 year-old woman and assembled it by myself. Instructions were very clear and screws were well labeled with a separate compartment for each group of the same size. Just two snags I ran into that might help someone else out: when installing the wooden “spacers” at the head of the bed, I would recommend pre-drilling holes for the screws. I ended up snapping the heads off the screws when trying to tighten them without pre-drilling. Was able to remove them with pliers and then drilled the holes. Much better! I had some screws of the same size to replace the broken ones. Went in much easier. The other issue was with the foot board. There are chunky wooden dowels that go into the sides of the footboard, with the other end of the dowels going into the legs. They fit into the footboard but the holes in the legs were not big enough. I ended up shaving down half the dowel with a box cutter blade to make it fit. Worked great. The bed is great! The only thing that was frustrating was that it was advertised as the lowest price and had a 24 hour window to get the offer so I took it. I found out two days later that the Bed went on sale for a lower price and when I contacted customer service, they were unwilling to match that price or even let me return the bed and get my money back and then order the Bed at the lower price.
