This murphy bed is working well in an extra bedroom. It looks nice and offers storage in the bottom drawer giving us a nice place to store the sheets and pillows for the bed when not in use. I am ultimately happy with it and it does what I need. There is a lengthy construction process with 44 steps and a tone of screws; i definitely benefited from gentle use of a power drill for some steps while others needed to be done by hand. there is one type of diagram - that shows how to install the sliding tracks that is initially very hard to interpret. but taking my time and having a second pair of hands for the first half of construction made it work and its more or less exactly what I wanted for the space. eventually when I habe a bigger budget I would prefer hardwood but this is a reasonable solution for a small space. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date! I am in love with this bed frame! It looks sooooo good. Not super hard to put together if you follow the instructions and wait until the end to tighten everything. I wish some of the visible boltsscrews were tan colored so they would blend in more but I can always just paint them tan if I want.
