Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. I’m honestly so happy with this playpen for frenchie babygirl. It’s super sturdy and firm (no wobbling or flimsiness), which makes me feel safe leaving her in there while I work. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. We bought this for our 13-year-old chinchilla. She's had other cages but this one was, by far, the easiest to put together. The instructions were clear and all of the parts were labeled, which was extremely helpful. The only challenge was putting the platforms in the cage. It's easier if you bend the bars just a little bit to get the platform where you want it and then bend them back in place. There's one platform with a hole for her to go through, but she bypasses that and just jumps up from the ramps. Adding the ramps took the longest; putting the rest together took maybe 20 minutes tops. The ramps connect to the platforms which is amazing. She had a cage before where they did not connect and she would push them down. The ramps are covered and she goes up and down them with no problem. We ended up not using the hammock for safety reasons. I particularly like that there are doors on the front and the side. Excellent product. Definitely recommend.. Beth. Pittsburgh, PA. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. This is a very pretty alternative to the traditional metal dog crate. It arrived in perfect condition (no chipped corners or dings, that others mentioned) and my husband had it together in less than an hour. It does have a yellowish tinge to it(not as white as the photos suggest), but we were ok with it. Our 50lb hound/shepherd mix puppy has ample space to stand and stretch out. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because, I think with a little time and boredom, she would easily be able to chew or dig her way out of this. We are using it only as a sleeping crate in our bedroom, so I am not worried about that. But I wouldn't put her in this and then leave the house. This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. Ive been very happy with it. The socialization is going great, and there is no way that my cat can jump over this. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. Bought this for my sphynx cat who can’t stay outside for long periods of time but I want to let him get some fresh air! Having the solid weatherproof roof helps block any sunlight and keeps him shaded. The size and everything is great because he’s a lounge cat he isn’t super active and really uses this to lay and listen to the birds and get fresh air.
