This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. well the first thing that comes to mind is the speed of shipping that came very fast. the chair itself is awesome. I just could not find a comfortable counter height chair for my counter height kitchen table so I was thinking out of the box. I assembled it in probably a half hour to 40 minutes without any problems. I especially like the longer handle allen wrench with the bar at the end of it that made screwing in the screws a lot easier than a little finger allen wrench that you usually get with stuff. all the parts were there all the screws lined up without difficulty. chair is basic with nice coloring and ample padding on chair seat and arms. I am able to reach around while sitting to adjust the lumbar support. this chair has a rocking mechanism which I was not aware of but I havent dialed that in just yet but there is a knob to adjust the rocking mechanism. the height adjustment is pretty straightforward you have to not be sitting on the seat to raise it up. the seat is wide enough so I can sit with one leg under in a cross leg position and that was a big plus for me. the armrests lift up fully out of the way. I have lvp vinyl in the kitchen so these caster wheels slide across very easily. the foot rest is also what I had to consider and this one is perfect. all in all this is a perfect chair for my counter height kitchen table and it supports my wide load without difficulty.. The first thing I liked was how easy it was to put together. I am not very good at building furniture, so I was worried it might be hard. Luckily, the instructions were simple, and it did not take me very long to get it ready to use. That made me feel happy because I did not have to spend hours trying to figure it out. Another thing I really like is how nice it looks. The stool has a modern style that makes my room look a little fancier. Even though it looks fancy, it still feels comfortable and welcoming. Friends and family who have come over have noticed it and said it looks nice. It fits well with the rest of my furniture and does not take up too much space. The comfort is one of my favorite things about this stool. The seat feels nice to sit on, even for a longer time. I use it when I am working on small projects, sitting at a counter, or just relaxing for a few minutes. It feels sturdy and stable, which helps me feel safe when I sit on it. I never feel like it is wobbly or weak. I also like that it is easy to clean. Sometimes things get spilled or dusty, and I do not want furniture that is hard to take care of. With this stool, a quick wipe is usually all it needs to look good again. That saves time and makes life easier. One thing that surprised me was the quality. When I first ordered it, I hoped it would be nice, but it ended up being even better than I expected. The materials feel durable, and it seems like it will last a long time. My recent new position requires me to work from home, so we set up a little 'office' for my needs, which includes a stand/sit, option for the desk. My wife and I reviewed the possible candidates on Wayfair and we narrowed it down to about three. This one ticked the boxes. It arrived very well packaged and protected for transit. It is reasonably straightforward to assemble. Take your time and it goes to together well. The buttons (see photo) on the arms don't really have any function, I think they're supposed to lock the arm in the up or down position but don't. But don't worry, the arms won't drop down unexpectedly, and they swing up and back far enough to let you get out of the chair at the side. The chair adjusts for height (What I needed) how much resistance when you lean back in it, and how far back it leans. The adjustable foot ring at the base is very handy. Comfort? Oh wow! The previous office chair felt like sitting on rocks after 30 minutes. This is sublime. No really. There's a description of its seat internal construction, but quite honestly, I'd believe it if they said it contained only air. I have spent the last week, every day for 7 hours plus in it and I really didn't think I'd been sitting in anything. There's enough support for your thighs (I found using the foot ring takes the weight off your thighs too), back support is great. And the center pneumatic column is infinitely adjustable between its lowest and highest settings; it is worthwhile experimenting with until you get it how you need it. It isn't the cheapest out that, sure. But neither is it the most expensive you can buy, but so far for value for money I'm not sure it can be beaten.
