The color is definitely a cream color as seen in my photos, in comparison to the white in the photos. This set is absolutely gorgeous, both elegant and casual. The dinner plates fit perfectly in my cabinets with door closing easily. The salad plates are a great size, as well as the mugs. The bowls are perfect for soup, cereal, ice cream, etc. It's always a good idea to read the measurements of each to determine if they are right for you. The dinner plates I received all measure 11 3/8". They even have a "shelf" at the bottom of the plate for support to prevent any pressure from use, to break the plate. They just barely grazed the front of the cabinet shelf but the door closed perfectly without touching the dinnerware. This set is absolutely beautiful and received as described!. Sharon. The pictures can't compare to the in-person true beauty of these dishes! They are just stunning! I bought these to mix/match with the Vancasso Bonita, solid color plates, also by Vancasso. And I am very pleased. The colors just pop out with the combination. I took pics on my kitchen island and then removed the background to share how pretty they are. Hubby saw them and said "I guess these are the dishes we aren't allowed to eat from?" LOL - he couldn't believe these were our new everyday, bc they are so beautiful!!
