The top looks like it can handle a bit of abuse. The color said grey but it’s really a greige color. It’s has the whitewashed look as well. The drawers are pretty deep. The bottom ones. The smaller ones not so much. Still a very nice item. It has the area to plug your electric. 2 outlets and 2 USB cables. I changed the knobs to some colorful ones I had around to match the rest of my furniture. It was a lot of work to put together though. It’s completely in pieces when it comes. This is a beautiful desk and solid. Followed the directions page by page and had no issues. Took my time, had the football game on TV and poured myself a cocktail during the build. Depending on how fast you work depends on how much time it will take to assemble. Took me an evening and the next morning to complete but I took my time with no stress. Only minor issue is the drawers are a bit tight but they may smooth out with use. Love the desk and for the price you can’t beat it. A desk like this at a local store is about $1200. looks classy and expensive. I will warn that it is super heavy. the top piece alone is like half the weight of the desk. was able to install it by myself just fine, went together quite quickly with a drill. While the bottom could home a pc, I was advised against for gpu performance reasons, but you totally could if you wanted to with the hole for cords in the back. there is a shelf that sits in there that I took out in the picture..
