I just put this up, and it has the most detailed instructions I've ever seen! All of the parts were there, everything numbered, everything fit together real well, I also like how you can take the ends of the shelter off and back on, Ididn't put them on from the beginning but I don't think it's going to be a big deal you just got to go up under the collar that comes around the end to keep weather out when you do have the ends on there. I'm not using the anchoring ropes into the ground, taking one to a tree and the other two into the house. I'll just have to wait and see if it can stand up to South Florida weather. I love my gazebo. I purchased this to replace a soft canopy gazebo that I used for a few years. I researched gazebos for months before finally purchasing this one. I intended on purchasing one with a metal top because I wanted to ensure that it would last for years to come and most importantly I didn't want it to leak when it rained. At the last minute I started to reconsider a polycarbonate roof because the metal options, like my black covered soft top gazebo would not allow light in, so would be darker during the day. I decided that while I enjoyed the protection from the sun, it would still be nice to have some light. Normally, I regret last minute changes...but not this time. I ended up with the best of both worlds! This gazebo does not leak (and it has withstood rain and snow). It blocks the UV rays but still allows light in during the day, and is not pitch black at night when using the gazebo. A metal roof would be completely dark at night, mine allows moonlight in, which makes it functional without extra lighting (and a bit romantic) at night. The only thing that would make it better are things that are unreasonable like having a self cleaning roof or actually being a screened in porch, lol!
