I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. It's a beautiful fan! We bought two, one for our bedroom and one for a back room that does not get much air circulation. The glass dome is very pretty and filters the light nicely. Make sure you get smaller bulbs with lower watts, standard light bulbs do not fit within the dome and higher wattage bulbs (over 60w) produced rather harsh light. This was simple to install. They try to make it easy to install by yourself but I required help lifting this up the ladder from my husband. I had difficulty placing all the items in screw it all up so you have to find the perfect positioning to make it work. We really like that it comes with a remote. We also had to change out our dimmer to a regular switch because it’s messes with light and makes it flicker but that’s what the remote is for. One thing I’m not so sure about is the LED. I like the ceiling fan, it’s simple and easy to work with the remote control not like another one recently purchased that has too many buttons on the remote to figure out, it cools the room nicely, also was very easy to install I wish had in more colors of the same model. I'm really enjoying this so far. I've got it working with SmartThings which means it's working (okay) with Google Home. All five of my RF fans work with this device. I would say signal is sent to those devices correctly 95% of the time. I have found that if I accidentally misclick, it is better if I count to 10 before making the correct choice. Is it perfect? No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone.
