These were delivered today, they came early. Unfortunately they are for my new house that I have not moved into yet. So, I will attempt to write a review based on opening the package and seeing the shelves. First, review of packaging…not so great. I feel it could have been better. Second, the color of the shelves is actually as expected and shown in the pictures. Very beautiful in fact. Can’t wait to hang these. The description references “live edge”, if they are it is very minimal. But hard to tell through the plastic wrap. These were just delivered. They arrived early. They will be hung up in a guest bedroom in a home I just purchased. At this time I cannot hang them because we have not closed on the new house yet. I will update review with more pictures once I move in and they are hung up. But for now, I took them out of the box, packing was not the greatest and because of that I seen some scratches. But it looks like it occurred on the side that will be facing downward. The shelf looks and feels well made. It is very heavy. The bracket that will be the anchor, which is already attached to the shelf looks heavy duty, so I do not anticipate a problem. I would recommend this shelf. Will update once we move in.. Melissa. The shelves are solid wood, but not a single piece of solid wood. Rather, each shelf in the shelf set I received has two pieces of wood glued together. Product is well designed and easy to assemble. Unfortunately, one of the shelves had a small splinter that broke off on the front facing edge.
