Seem very heavy duty. I have a fiend that is pushing 300lb and visits regularly, none of my chairs held up to him. These will. Very basic finish workmanship is on par with the price. If you wanted to you could sand re stain and shellac them making them look much more expensive. I am happy with my purchase. They were easy to assemble for me even the the instructions are not very detailed, you must look carefully at the drawings to make sure your orienting things the correct way. First chair took about an hour with unpacking and organizing. Second chair took about 20 min. Don't use impact tools on any bolts that go into the pressed in nuts. I didn’t pay $300 per chair though, and I think those things are forgivable given the price I paid. The seats are nice right now. I am a little worried about how they will hold up with regular use.. For the price, I’m very happy with the quality. I ordered 4. Shipping was pretty quick ( a lot quicker than the estimated delivery date). Packaging was excellent. Instructions were simple and clear…easy to understand ( unlike many items that come with poor English translations). The white gloves were a nice touch lol. Assembly was quick. First one took longer (learning curve). 4th one took 23 minutes from careful unpacking to putting the felt pads on the bottom of the legs. I lost 2 minutes due to trying to get the paper off the sticky pads . I like that there are small indentations in case you want to put the screw in type later. Overall.
