they are sturdy once you have the dirt in them, but seem a bit flimsy when empty. Be careful filling them, as I had my neighbor help me fill with his john deer and we had to go very slowly and level the dirt in layers so it didnt warp the shape. Overall, this planter looks great and is a good value for the price. The only downside is the assembly instructions. They aren’t step-by-step and don’t clearly show the correct orientation of the pieces. I assembled most of one planter before realizing several panels needed to be flipped so all the screws would line up correctly. I had to take it apart and reassemble it.
