This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. Our new file cabinets are beautiful! I purchased two of them to hold my music. We wanted them to look like furniture, and couldn't be happier with the outcome. They are sturdy as well as practical. Each drawer can hold letter or legal size files. Our maintenance person assembled them for us. We wouldn't have been able to do that ourselves. He bolted them to the wall for extra security. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see.
