This table is beyond my expectations! The quality is outstanding so I feel that I received all the value and more for the money I spent. My husband and I were able to put it together with no problems. All chairs and the table are solid and very sturdy. The chairs seats are definitely brown. This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen.
