Other reviews mentioned the inside base board is flimsy… it’s definitely not the same thickness as the external structure, but I think it would do the trick for most items. The quality is very good, I'd say closer to 5 stars. There's some minor sheen differences in the wood that I expect will look more consistent after cleaning. Packaging was good also, very easy to break down and separate out the styrofoam and cardboard as I'm able to recycle both. However, the unit was damaged -- one leg where it curves to form the long "ski" broke clean through. I don't know whether to blame the packaging or the design of the unit (but it is very stout). Love this bench! It was quite an ordeal to put together but it finally all fit the way it was intended. I would however have put the handles and drawer pulls on before hanging the doors or building the drawers. I am disappointed in the cushion as it is very hard and the off-white is not that pretty with the white wood. The cushion cover is not very snug either. I plan to make a new cover to match my furnishings, so that will solve that problem. This is one beautiful piece of furniture. It’s high quality and as exactly as described…. I love the modern farmhouse look and this worked perfectly in our space. I have seen a couple of reviews about the color. This is true to the image posted but will add that the lighting can also cause variations in light from cool to warm. I love both!! My husband and I downsized so the extra storage was a bonus. I have six sets of king size sheets and 4 throws, two small pillows and space for a little more. The white cushion is very attractive I did however add some scotch guard to help keep dust and stains at stray. I think a damp white cloth could be used. It’s comfortable to sit on and the width and height are perfect for both my husband and I. I am 5’8 and he is 6’2 so this was another thing that attracted us to this bench. It has some weight to it which we prefer. Assembly was a breeze due to only having to add the feet..
