The dimensions are correct and it is a sturdy piece once you finally get it assembled. However if you don't like ugly silver screws showing all over the place both inside and outside this is not the piece for you. I'm going to try getting some fingernail polish and seeing if I can disguise them a little bit. Normally pieces like this come with stickers to cover the screw heads with. Very disappointed in that..
