This LED strip light has an adhesive on the back which allows you to easily install the lights. You can cut them to size but be sure you don’t cut away from the electrical source. The colors are beautiful. I noticed when dimming them, they make a buzz, and the control board attached to the lights gets a bit hot when you plug it in. I tried to pair with my Genie App and no luck. You can use an adapter to connect to a smart plug and pair with the Genie App. I downloaded the LED strip light app and there are bugs in it. For example, when you press one of the common colors, red will turn green, pink will turn blue…..The DIY lets you choose up to 8 colors for gradient or jump. Love them! When I bought my condo they had track Lighting in the office and it was so outdated, ugly, and a total eyesore! I had my Handyman remove them fix the ceiling and then put these in. I wanted something super flush to the ceiling so they didnt draw a lot of attention or make the ceiling feel low as it is a little bit lower in this room. When they were built this was originally supposed to be a patio and they enclosed it for additional living space. I made it an office which isnt completed yet! I love how they hug the ceiling and they come with two remote controls which is super handy when walking into the room when dark. I keep one in my living room and one on the desk. It also has a day and night on it for bright or soft. When I ordered them I felt they were a little expensive, but when I got them, I feel they are well worth the expense!
