Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work.. This is the perfect sized trash can for the bathroom. The foot pedal is great to not have to touch anything, and the white finish blends in nicely. It fits the aesthetic of my bathroom with brass fittings without having the entire can be gold-colored. My two gripes with this trash can are 1. It feels relatively flimsy compared to stainless steel bathroom trash cans I've had in the past and 2. The texture of the gold paint on the trash can trim is not very smooth. At this price point, a Kohler or simple human bathroom step trash can are a lot better value.
