Directions were easy to follow and I didn’t end up missing anything so the frustration level was nice and low. The lights are our favorite touch. We can see them any time we want but they have a nice dark hideout just in case they need it. I don’t think the access to the hideout is a big deal. If you absolutely need to grab one you can pull out the tray some. Our piggies loved their new home and I also love the peace of mind it gives me knowing they aren’t in a wire cage anymore where my dogs could accidentally get too rough and break them out lol I definitely would recommend this cage.
